How to get featured?
Types of Videos:
This section provides details of the type of short videos that Oral pathology 360 publishes.
In general, short videos accepted will be following the regular series of the channel with the difference that they are limited to 15 minutes maximum duration and are not presented as a Livestream.
Presenters intending to contribute to any of these sections are advised to watch a few full-length videos from different series to understand which series is most suitable and how to present their work.
All videos for all sections of Oral Pathology 360 are considered according to our usual publication conditions, which are applicable at the time. All material is considered for publication on the understanding that it does not break any copyright laws and has not been presented on an online platform available freely online. If any similar or related material is presented on another platform or due to be presented as a video elsewhere, it is disclosed to Oral Pathology 360 at submission.
The submission of material for all series will first be made in the form of a proposal text and PowerPoint document. If the material meets the editorial selection requirements, then the video will be produced with the help of the Oral Pathology 360 editorial team.
Presenter of material submitted to any section of Oral Pathology 360 must provide a current full postal address, phone, and email address. In addition, it is helpful if presenters note their surname and the series for which the video is being considered in the subject line of any emails they send to Oral Pathology 360.
Except for the dentistry special and triple O series, the content is essentially focused on Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Microbiology, and Forensic odontology. Therefore, it will have to be directly related to these fields.
The Fundamental Series (Back to Basics)
As the name suggests, these videos present content intended to build knowledge from the base up. Topics are explained from a basic level focused on post-graduate students or residents.
The Update Series
These videos are for the experienced audience, already familiar with the primary concept/disease being discussed. Therefore, there is no attempt to explain the basics. Instead, the knowledge is shared to update the latest and most advanced information on the topic.
Perspectives
Perspective is intended to provide a forum for presenters to discuss ideas from a personal viewpoint. They are forward-looking and/or speculative ways to look at existing knowledge and scenarios. They may be opinionated but should remain balanced and are intended to stimulate discussion and new thinking.
Career Horizons
This section welcomes presentations by oral pathologists who have tried unconventional and different paths in their career which could be suitable for others to follow. For this section, please send your suggestions to editor@oralpathology360.com and only proceed if you receive an acceptance from us.
Research & Technology Updates
These videos will be news-style reports of personal experience, explaining either series of connected research by the presenter or a new technology/method used by the presenter.
Triple O Series
This series on the Oral Pathology 360 channel aims to increase collaboration among the triple o. As such, the video will need to be presented by three presenters from each department (Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral Medicine, Diagnosis and Radiology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). These are the only short videos that can extend up to 20 minutes in duration. Thus, the video will cover a single entity from the perspective and practice of the three departments. In addition, the videos will cover and include actual cases from the department’s files.
Dentistry Special
These videos will bridge the gap between clinical dentistry and oral pathology by presenting common pathologies encountered in general dentistry and the practice of different dental specialties. The presentation does not need to include a detailed pathological description such as histopathology and is rather a clinical presentation of the condition and the management steps taken.
