He’s applied for copyrights for two physiotherapy protocols in head and neck cancer rehabilitation. \n\n\n\nAs a guest speaker\, he addressed Cancer Rehabilitation at the 4th Youth Physio Conclave 2022. He has worked in universities and research institutes across three continents: He had post-doctoral experience in the Department of Medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital and as a Lise Meitner Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Physiology at the University of Vienna. Separately\, he spent one and a half years as a visiting researcher in Cell Biology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. His research spans experimental and oral pathology to aspects of public health and\, more recently\, dental robotics. \n\n\n\nHe rose from appointment as lecturer in Oral Pathology at the University of Sydney to holding a Personal Chair as a full Professor. He has trained as a junior registrar in anatomical pathology and oral pathology at the Institute for Clinical Pathology and Medical Research but is not a registered clinical oral pathologist. He serves as an examiner in Pathology for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. \n\n\n\nFor ten years\, he was co-founder and Chairman of a think-tank and advocacy group for Oral Health (APOH). Concerned by changes in universities that he believes threaten academic quality and function\, he now collaborates with a network of colleagues advocating for improved academic governance. \n\n\n\nProf Zoellner is currently a freelance academic and Director of Strongarch Pty Ltd and also holds honorary appointments as a Professor at the NSW University Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering and at the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sydney.

Building on this foundation\, he furthered his education by obtaining a PhD in Oral Pathology through a collaborative program between University College London (UCL) and Public Health England (PHE) in London\, United Kingdom\, in 2010. This academic journey marked him as a registered Oral Pathologist in Brazil\, equipped with international research and expertise. \n\n\n\nProf. Goldman serves as a prominent researcher and professor at the Oncology Postgraduate Program and Public Health and Cancer Control Postgraduate Program. At the National Cancer Institute (INCA)\, he is a vital member of the Teaching Committee and holds the position of professor Responsible for the Oral Medicine Module of the Residency in Oncology in Dentistry. He embarked on his academic journey by completing a PhD at the CRUK Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow and received clinical training at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. In 2009\, he made a significant move to the University of Sheffield\, where he established a pioneering research group. Their focus was on understanding the transcriptional changes occurring at different stages of oral precancer and cancer development\, particularly delving into the control of cellular immortalization of keratinocytes and aspects of the tumor microenvironment. \n\n\n\nIn 2022\, Professor Hunter further enriched his career by joining the Liverpool Head and Neck Centre. His academic contributions extend beyond the lecture hall\, as he has authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles and made notable contributions to various books\, including the 2022 WHO Classification of Tumours of the Head and Neck. He is also a co-author of the 5th edition of Soames and Southam’s Oral Pathology. \n\n\n\nProfessor Keith Hunter’s research laboratory primarily focuses on the tumor microenvironment in head and neck cancers\, with a particular emphasis on oral cavity and oropharynx cancers. This includes a comprehensive exploration of the clinical pathology and biology of Potentially Malignant Disorders of the oral cavity\, characterized by extensive collaborations and links to industry in this vital area of study.

He has trained specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial / Head and Neck Pathology for South Africa and other African countries and is involved in various professional societies and collaborative education initiatives in Oral Pathology between Africa\, India\, and Southeast Asia.  \n\n\n\nProfessor WM Tilakaratne is currently attached to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Clinical Sciences\, Faculty of Dentistry\, University of Malaya. He has held many academic and professional positions in the past three decades\, including a Professor of Oral Pathology at the Queen Mary University of London and a visiting Professor to universities around the globe; the former Dean of the Faculty of Dental Sciences at the University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka\, and the past president of the International Association of Oral Pathologists. He has completed a hospital-based GPR\, an additional year of Oral Medicine training\, a 2-year AEGD\, and an Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology residency. Dr Klingman is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology\, a diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry\, and holds a faculty appointment as Associate Professor at Uniformed Services University.
