However\, distinguishing AA from dentinogenic ghost cell tumor (DGCT) is challenging due to their significant morphologic similarities. This study aimed to compare the clinicopathologic\, immunohistochemical\, and molecular characteristics of AA and DGCT to aid in their differentiation and understand their pathologic mechanisms. \n\n\n\nThe study analyzed 13 cases of AA\, 14 cases of DGCT (15 samples)\, 11 cases of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT)\, and 18 cases of conventional ameloblastoma (AM) for comparison. Key findings include: \n\n\n\n\nAA and DGCT share a similar long-term prognosis.\n\n\n\nImmunohistochemically\, most cytokeratins did not significantly differentiate AA and DGCT\, except for CK8/18. CK7 and CK10/13 showed significant differences between AA and AM.\n\n\n\nNuclear β-catenin accumulation was observed in all cases of AA and DGCT\, whereas AOTs and AMs exhibited cytoplasmic β-catenin.\n\n\n\nMolecularly\, CTNNB1 hotspot mutations were found in only one AA case. BRAF p.V600E mutations were present in 15% of AA\, 7% of DGCT\, and 18% of AOT cases\, compared to 94% in AM cases. KRAS mutations were found in 63% of AOT cases.\n\n\n\n\nThe study concludes that AA shares clinical\, immunohistochemical\, and molecular features with DGCT and should not be classified solely based on the presence of specific structures. His active engagement in casework\, teaching\, and research in Oral Pathology and Forensic Odontology is well-recognized. He has an MBA in Health Care Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies\, University of Delhi\, and a Diploma in Forensic Human Identification from the Academy of Forensic Medical Sciences\, UK. He is pursuing a PhD from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University\, New Delhi. With a strong interest in Healthcare IT\, Dr. Augustine has delivered guest lectures\, workshops\, and symposia for dentists\, forensic medicine practitioners\, and police officers on national and international stages. He’s applied for copyrights for two physiotherapy protocols in head and neck cancer rehabilitation. \n\n\n\nAs a guest speaker\, he addressed Cancer Rehabilitation at the 4th Youth Physio Conclave 2022. He has worked in universities and research institutes across three continents: He had post-doctoral experience in the Department of Medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital and as a Lise Meitner Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Physiology at the University of Vienna. Separately\, he spent one and a half years as a visiting researcher in Cell Biology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. His research spans experimental and oral pathology to aspects of public health and\, more recently\, dental robotics. \n\n\n\nHe rose from appointment as lecturer in Oral Pathology at the University of Sydney to holding a Personal Chair as a full Professor. He has trained as a junior registrar in anatomical pathology and oral pathology at the Institute for Clinical Pathology and Medical Research but is not a registered clinical oral pathologist. He serves as an examiner in Pathology for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. \n\n\n\nFor ten years\, he was co-founder and Chairman of a think-tank and advocacy group for Oral Health (APOH). Concerned by changes in universities that he believes threaten academic quality and function\, he now collaborates with a network of colleagues advocating for improved academic governance. \n\n\n\nProf Zoellner is currently a freelance academic and Director of Strongarch Pty Ltd and also holds honorary appointments as a Professor at the NSW University Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering and at the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sydney.

He earned his Dentistry degree and specialized in Stomatology (Oral Medicine) at the esteemed Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2003. Building on this foundation\, he furthered his education by obtaining a PhD in Oral Pathology through a collaborative program between University College London (UCL) and Public Health England (PHE) in London\, United Kingdom\, in 2010. This academic journey marked him as a registered Oral Pathologist in Brazil\, equipped with international research and expertise. \n\n\n\nProf. Goldman serves as a prominent researcher and professor at the Oncology Postgraduate Program and Public Health and Cancer Control Postgraduate Program. At the National Cancer Institute (INCA)\, he is a vital member of the Teaching Committee and holds the position of professor Responsible for the Oral Medicine Module of the Residency in Oncology in Dentistry.
