She obtained her bachelor’s in Dentistry and a Master’s degree in Oral Pathology and Microbiology from the Government Dental Colleges of Kerala\, India. Later\, she was awarded a scholarship to pursue an MPhil in Molecular virology from the Faculty of Medicine\, University of Hong Kong\, followed by a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Dentistry\, University of Hong Kong. She has more than 12 years of academic/ research experience and has more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in Q1 and Q2 journals to her credit.
