SUMMARY:Unlocking secrets of early-onset oral cancer by multi-omics
DESCRIPTION:Overview: \n\n\n\n\nIn this enlightening lecture\, we embark on a scientific journey into the mysterious world of early-onset oral cancer\, a condition increasingly observed in younger populations that presents with higher aggressiveness and a challenging response to conventional therapies. Unlike traditional oral cancers\, whose etiology is often linked to tobacco\, alcohol\, and human papillomavirus\, early-onset oral cancer eludes these common risk factors\, cloaking its origins and progression pathways in mystery. \n\n\n\nAs we delve into the depths of this perplexing condition\, our esteemed speaker will illuminate how the cutting-edge field of multi-omics—a synergistic approach combining genomics\, proteomics\, metabolomics\, and more—serves as a key to unlocking the complex interplay of genetic\, immune\, and microbiome factors underlying the development and advancement of early-onset oral cancer. This lecture promises to show how integrating diverse omic technologies can reveal a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the disease\, potentially leading to innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. \n\n\n\nJoin us for an insightful session bridging the gap between traditional etiological models and modern cancer biology’s dynamic\, multifaceted world. \n\n\n\n\nClick on the video to watch/ click on watch on YouTube to place a reminder \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHosted by:\n\n\n\nDr. Mandana Donoghue Founder- DirectorOral Pathology 360Dr. Mandana Donoghue | LinkedIn \n\n\n\n\n\nTo participate in the discussion\, kindly watch the video on YouTube.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker: \n\n\n\nDr. Evgeny Denisov is the Head of the Laboratory of Cancer Progression Biology at the Cancer Research Institute\, Tomsk National Research Medical Center\, and the Laboratory of Single Cell Biology at RUDN University. His expertise spans cancer metastasis\, recurrence\, and intratumor heterogeneity\, with a focus on early-onset oral cancer. \n\n\n\nHolding a Ph.D. in Genetics from Tomsk State University\, Dr. Evgeny has dedicated his career to exploring the molecular underpinnings of cancer\, leading to significant insights into the TP53 gene mutability in breast cancer. His work has established foundations like the Association for Single Cell Analysis and initiatives to understand oral cancer’s etiology and pathogenesis in young adults. \n\n\n\nAs President of the Association for Single Cell Analysis\, Dr. Evgeny is at the forefront of integrating multi-omics techniques to advance oral cancer research\, offering new perspectives on diagnosis and treatment strategies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou may also like our recent video on the role of AI in Oral Cancer Detection or content from our OPMDs| Oral cancer playlist (35 videos)
