DESCRIPTION:Radiology of the Temporomandibular Joint\, or the TMJ\, is an exhaustive topic that includes imaging modalities such as plain film radiography\, panoramic radiography\, Computed Tomography\, and its variants\, Ultrasonography\, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Although economic and availability constraints limit the use of more sophisticated techniques\, the easily available radiographs are usually always enough to confirm a diagnosis and plan treatment. She topped her under-graduation and won 3 gold medals\, including the overall Best Outgoing student award in 2007. She obtained her fellowship from the Indian Board of Forensic Odontology in 2019.She has won numerous best paper awards for many presentations at State and National Conferences\, including the best researcher of the year award for the year 2016. She has been invited to deliver guest lectures at National\, International\, and multispecialty conferences\, the most recent being the International Orthodontic Symposium held at Hubli\, Karnataka\, and the national case history conference at Chennai.She also won the best reviewer award for the years 2018 and 2019 for the National Journal of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology and is currently the associate editor of the same journal.
