- Recipient of the Fogarty Fellowship, Department of Epidemiology and Bio-statistics of University of Berkeley, California (USA) as a research scholar
- Fellowship in the field of oral pathology and oral medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (USA).
- Recipient of the best Teacher award, awarded by The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 2012, for outstanding contribution to the advancement of Dental Sciences
- Recipient of Fellowship of Indian Society of Dental Research (Indian Division of International Association of Dental Research) and Indian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists for outstanding contribution to the field of Dental Sciences
- Delivered guest lectures in National and International forums and has well over ninety publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
