Dr. Sujata Mohanty is a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 26 years of clinical and academic experience. As Professor (SAG) and Head of the Department at MAIDS, New Delhi, she has transformed the unit into a centre of excellence managing complex cases in collaboration with neurosurgeons, otorhinolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, and paediatric specialists.
A graduate of Utkal University, she completed her MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. Dr. Mohanty has guided 28 postgraduate dissertations and led multiple research projects in areas such as cleft lip and palate, wound healing, tissue engineering, and trauma. She is the author of over 116 scientific publications and is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences.
Her expertise spans maxillofacial pathology, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and TMJ surgery, making her uniquely qualified to teach oral biopsy techniques that improve diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
