Overview:
Jaw cysts and tumors can be among the most challenging conditions in oral and maxillofacial surgery. While aggressive surgical resections have long been the standard, they often leave patients with significant functional and esthetic challenges. Increasingly, surgeons are exploring conservative management of jaw cysts and tumors that prioritize both patient safety and quality of life.
Join us on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025 at 18:00 IST for a special session of Oral Pathology Tuesdays with Dr. Pramod Krishna B, Professor and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at BGS Global Institute of Medical and Dental Sciences, Bengaluru.
🔍 Learning Objectives:
In this lecture, Dr. Pramod Krishna will present his experience in the management of aggressive benign odontogenic neoplasms (ABONs) using conservative techniques such as:
- Enucleation and enucleation with open packing
- Marsupialization
- Peripheral ostectomy
- Chemical cauterization with modified Carnoy’s solution
Through real case series and long-term follow-up data, Dr. Krishna highlights why conservative strategies may be the treatment of choice for these aggressive yet benign lesions.
