Dr. Ross Kerr is a distinguished Clinical Professor and Director of Oral Medicine in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology & Medicine at New York University College of Dentistry. He earned his DDS from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and completed his MSD and Oral Medicine certification at the University of Washington. A dedicated educator, he is a recipient of NYU’s Distinguished Teaching Award for his outstanding contributions to teaching and mentorship.
Dr. Kerr has held several prominent leadership roles, including past president of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, president-elect of the American Board of Oral Medicine, and steering committee member of the World Workshop on Oral Medicine. He also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Oral Cancer Foundation, where he contributes to initiatives for oral cancer awareness and early detection.
With over 120 publications in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Kerr’s research focuses on advanced diagnostic techniques for oral cancer and oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs). His work has significantly impacted clinical practice by integrating emerging technologies into oral disease detection and management.
At IODCPC25, Dr. Kerr will deliver the keynote lecture in Oral Medicine, presenting groundbreaking insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming diagnostic and clinical practices in oral medicine.
