Join us for a dynamic live-streamed Journal Club session featuring a deep dive into cutting-edge research with the author, Dr. Sven Niklander, and special guest, Prof. Keith Hunter, Professor of Head and Neck Pathology at the University of Liverpool, UK.

In this session, we explore the article “Aging and Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Development: The Role of Cellular Senescence,” where Dr. Niklander reviews the role of senescent cells in the development of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). With their inflammatory senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), these cells are key drivers in age-related cancer progression. Learn about the potential of senotherapeutics—innovative treatments aimed at targeting senescent cells—and their implications for future cancer therapies.

Dr. Hana Safar will moderate the session. Residents Dr. Masoume Qomi and Dr. Aysan Nozheh will present the paper, while our host, Dr. Pouyan Aminishakib, will lead the discussion.

Whether you are a researcher, clinician, or student, this is an unmissable opportunity to engage with leading oral pathology and oncology experts. Don’t miss out on this insightful discussion into the future of cancer treatment!

This session is a must-attend for professionals and students in oral and maxillofacial diagnostics. It provides an invaluable opportunity to interact with leading experts and gain insights into the latest advancements in salivary gland pathology.
