This faculty development webinar on student mental health is designed to equip faculty, postgraduate guides, and mentors with the awareness and confidence to identify potential concerns early and respond with empathy and clarity. The session will focus on practical skills that help create safe, supportive learning environments while maintaining academic standards.

👤 About the Speaker


Dr. Malik Merchant is a Consulting Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience, currently practicing at Wockhardt Hospital, Prince Aly Khan Hospital, and Masina Hospital. He has worked extensively with individuals and families across a broad spectrum of mental health needs, bringing both deep clinical expertise and a compassionate, accessible approach.
Dr. Merchant is no stranger to our community — he was a valued faculty member in our earlier masterclass on Dementia Sensitive Dental Care, where his session on dementia and Alzheimer’s was exceptionally well received. We are delighted to welcome him back to guide us through another crucial area of awareness and care.
