  • Completion of all online forms (speaker information, copyright release, etc.)
  • Uploading of presentation (in appropriate format)

Please note that if not accepted for oral presentation, all submissions are automatically considered for e-poster presentation (if you select “yes” on your submission form). Please do not submit the same abstract simultaneously for a poster presentation.
You can also choose to submit an abstract for the poster presentation alone.

  • Undergraduate students and specialists from other fields may also present relevant cases
  • The first author should be the presenter.
  • Author and co-authors need all to be registered for the event before abstract submission (maximum of 5 authors)
  • Each presenting author can submit a maximum of 1 abstract. Additional submissions will not be considered (without further notice).

Guidelines for case selection:

  • Only cases with a final/confirmed diagnosis will be accepted.
  • Cases with an unusual presentation, systemic involvement, and complexity in diagnosis will be preferred.
  • Cases where advanced diagnostic procedures have been used will be preferred.
  • Encore abstracts: An abstract previously presented at this forum cannot be submitted unless there are new methods, findings, updated data or other acceptable reasons for submitting.

Guidelines for abstract submission:

Before you begin the submission process, have the following ready:

  • Your abstract file (maximum 300 words) in both Microsoft Word and pdf formats, both files should be named the same.
  • The file name should be the first author’s full name as entered on the registration form.
  • Names, email addresses and designation of all co-authors. Please DO NOT spell titles and co-authors’ names in capital letters.
  • Please use the correct e-mail addresses of co-authors. Please do not use the same e-mail address for several co-authors.

Abstract Preparation:

  • The word limit for each abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Please choose a title that clearly indicates the content of the contribution, but it does not have to mention the final diagnosis
  • Please avoid abbreviations in the title (exception: scientific terms). Abbreviations may be used in the text if they are defined when used first.
  • Please provide maximum information in the abstract by ensuring the abstract includes the following:
    • the specific diagnosis or clinical/radiological manifestation(s)
    • the investigation methods used, if pertinent
    • the differentials considered
    • summary of main findings
    • the conclusions and diagnosis reached from the findings and results

Abstract format:

  • Case presentations should follow the CARE (case report guidelines) format. Please refer to the CARE checklist for the information. https://www.care-statement.org/checklist
  • The author‘s / authors’ name(s) (full first name, family name) and place of work (institution, city, country) should be indicated in the respective form fields, not in the abstract.
  • The main text should be fully justified with single spacing
  • Use 12-point Times New Roman for the text
  • Please make sure to use the United Kingdom version of the English language.
  • Pictures, tables and graphs may not be added to your abstract.
  • Ensure that the abstract does not contain spelling, grammar, or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted.

 Please Note:

The abstract submission constitutes a formal commitment by the first author to present the corresponding presentation in the session and time slot assigned by the Scientific Committee.

Changes in authorship should be communicated to the Conference Committee to ensure the correct appearance in the online programme. Changes will be accepted until the deadline (by May 15, 2022).

Should the first author, who is considered the presenter, turn out to be unable to present their case, one of the co-authors should take over this responsibility. A change of the presenting author needs to be communicated to the Conference Committee and will only be processed after acceptance of abstracts. Presenter changes, which are being addressed to the Conference Committee before the official acceptance notification, will not be considered.

After Submission:

  • You will receive an acknowledgement mail upon your submission.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee will be emailed to the submitting/presenting author. Detailed information in which format the abstract is accepted (oral or E-Poster) and guidelines and recommendations for each abstract type will be sent shortly after notifications to registered submitting authors.
