About the lecture: A biphasic tumor is a histopathological term that refers to a malignant neoplasm characterized by two different cell populations. This presentation will review various histogenetic theories that support the understanding of biphasic tumors. In addition, the presentation will also discuss multiple biphasic tumors from the oral and maxillofacial pathology literature and how they were categorized as biphasic tumors.
Learning Objectives – Upon completion, the listener will: ✓ demonstrate the ability to integrate biphasic concepts while identifying OMFP lesions as biphasic / bimorphic. ✓ be able to properly exclude the tumors that mimic biphasic/bimorphic in the OMFP region ✓ demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of biphasic and bimorphic tumors. ✓ be able to list biphasic and/or bimorphic tumors from OMFP literature
